Does Increasing Android Animation Affect Battery Life And Performance?

Every Android users love smooth animation transitions on their device. Especially if you are on stock android then those animations make it look more cuter.

If you are a hardcore android user who uses lots of apps everyday then battery and performance can be a major issue. Which can make your android animations laggy and increase the cpu temperature.

But is android transition animations responsible for it? Or if you disable it, will it make your device faster?

If your device is currently laggy then if you disable it then the page transitions may not look that laggy except more loading time. Which can be helpful. But is android animation responsible for your high battery consumption and performance issues?

Answer is NO. But it depends if you are using stock android animations or some third party apps for it. Stock animations are well optimised. Its effect on your Android phone performance is so negligible. But it depends on the developers of third party apps. If they want, they can make your animations laggy using poor framing.

Obviously they don’t want lol. It’s just poor developing skills and lack of quality testing.

So what can be the reason for my battery performance?

It depends on a lots of factors. It can be running background apps, it can be your brightness or it can be the live colorful wallpapers on your Android device.

If you want you can go to Settings – Battery to see which services are consuming more energy.

Or Settings – Storage & memory – memory – memory used by apps to check which are consuming more ram. Which can be a reason for your laggy performance.

Note – The location I mentioned is for stock like androids only. If you are using any other modded Android OS like MIUI or Samsung. Then the location can be different.

Conclusion

Android stock animations doesn’t really affect your device battery consumption and performance. What it does is negligible. If you are facing serious lagging or battery draining issues then you should track which services are consuming memory and battery in settings and take actions according to that.
